Design Spotlight: Blue & White Coastal Kitchen

This recent project highlights one of the most requested combinations we’re seeing right now — navy base cabinetry paired with crisp white uppers.

The result is clean, grounded, and tailored for a shore home.

The Cabinetry

This kitchen features Fabuwood cabinetry, blending painted white perimeter uppers with deep blue base cabinets and island. The two-tone approach keeps the space bright while adding depth at eye level and below.

The blue lowers anchor the room. The white uppers maintain an open, airy feel — especially with natural light pouring in through the windows.

The Hardware

Hardware throughout is Top Knobs in a warm brass finish.

The brass adds contrast against the blue cabinetry and complements the faucet and lighting selections. It’s a subtle detail, but one that elevates the entire space.

A warm brass finish completed the hardware for this project.

Design Highlights

  • Navy base cabinetry for depth
  • White shaker-style uppers for balance
  • Quartz countertops with soft veining
  • Classic white subway tile backsplash
  • Under-cabinet lighting
  • Integrated beverage refrigeration
  • Brass faucet and matching hardware

The island provides additional prep space and seating while keeping the layout functional and open. The design carries a consistent finish palette from kitchen to adjacent spaces, maintaining flow throughout the home.

Why This Combination Works

Two-tone cabinetry continues to lead coastal kitchen design because it offers contrast without overwhelming the space. Darker lowers hide wear and daily use, while lighter uppers reflect light and maintain brightness.

It’s a practical choice — and one that photographs beautifully.

If you’re planning a renovation or new build, this project is a great example of how blue and white cabinetry can be tailored for a clean coastal look using trusted brands like Fabuwood and Top Knobs.
