Design Spotlight: A Bright, Layered Kitchen with Custom Detail

Some kitchens feel clean and functional. Others feel considered from every angle. This featured project does both.
Built by JF Builder, this space pairs crisp white perimeter cabinetry with a warm wood island for a look that feels fresh, balanced, and easy to live in. The mix of cabinetry by Fabuwood and Kountry Kraft adds depth to the design, while Top Knobs hardware and StoneCrafters countertops help complete the finished look with the right detail in the right places.

What stands out most in this kitchen is the contrast. The white cabinetry keeps the room feeling open and bright, while the natural wood tones on the island and floating shelves bring warmth into the space. The result is a kitchen that feels polished without feeling too formal.
There is also a strong focus on function throughout the layout. The oversized island offers generous prep space, seating, storage, and a built-in microwave drawer. Perimeter cabinetry keeps everything streamlined, and the open shelving and beverage area give the room another layer of utility without crowding the design.
The hardware selection plays an important role here too. The warmer metal finish works well against both the white cabinetry and natural wood tones, helping tie the entire room together. It is a good example of how smaller finish selections can make a major visual impact when they are chosen well.

The countertops by StoneCrafters keep the palette light and clean, giving the cabinetry and finish choices room to stand out. Paired with the custom hood, statement lighting, farmhouse sink, and tailored built-ins, the kitchen feels cohesive from wall to wall.
Projects like this show what happens when strong materials, thoughtful planning, and the right vendor team come together. Every decision here supports both the look and the way the space works day to day.
At The Cabinet Company, this is what we love most, helping bring together cabinetry, finish selections, and layout solutions that fit the home as a whole.
